Sarah De Groof (°1984) studied at KU Leuven (2002-2007). She has spent her first Master’s year at the University of Montpellier as an exchange student of the Erasmus program. In June 2007 she obtained a master’s degree in law as well as her teaching certificate.

From 2007 until 2011 Sarah worked as a lawyer at Lydian, a law office at the Brussels’ bar where she specialised in labour law and social security law.

As from 2011, Sarah started to work fulltime for the Institute for Labour Law. On 19 December 2016 Sarah defended her PhD thesis entitled “Working time and time off in labour law. A judicial research on work-life balance” under the supervision of prof. dr. Frank Hendrickx.
